The ArtMix Commitment to Inclusion
At ArtMix, we believe that a community is built on the foundation of creativity, collaboration, and respect. We support creativity by sparking and valuing originality and quality. We foster collaboration by developing and maintaining relationships with others through the strength of teamwork and the blending of skills. We establish respect by treating people with consideration and dignity in an ethical and honest manner.
Every day, ArtMix strives to create a welcoming environment that breaks down barriers. By providing an inclusive space for people of all ages, races, cultures, genders, and abilities, ArtMix allows individuals to express themselves. The primary participant in an ARtMix program is a person with a disability, however, our philosophy of inclusion means that all are welcome.
Our belief in the mission of our programs is that all people should have access to high quality, innovative arts experiences, whether it be for social, educational, or creative purposes. This is but one of the reasons we insist on using high quality, professional art materials and tools for instructional experiences and make them available to individuals throughout our community. Additionally, this is why we employ highly trained teaching artists, who have both artistic skill and the desire to teach people of all abilities.
With a strong record of programmatic success and demonstrated organizational resiliency, ArtMix is poised to continue to transform the lives of people through the creation of art. Although there is still much process to be made, at ARtMix we strive to make everyone feel welcome through collaboration, creativity, and respect. You are welcome here. Join us as we continue to create and build community together.
