Artist in Residence

For nearly 40 years the ArtMix’s Artists in Residence program has served students, teachers, and staff by providing access to the arts in classrooms, hospitals, parks, and care facilities throughout the state.

The program provides students with repeated visits from an ArtMix Teaching Artist, who is trained in or more arts discipline and creates adaptations to serve students with and without disabilities. Our Teaching Artists regularly work with students who have cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities/mental illness.

What does a residency look like?
