Megan Martin
Meghan Cristeen Martin started her musical career performing on a ukulele. She has been featured at ukulele festivals such as KYuke Fest and the Brown County Ukulele Festival performing her own original music.
Known for performing solo on ukulele, songwriter and versatile crooner has drawn comparisons to classic country stars of decades past. Her music has been featured on various Indiana radio stations and podcasts including WFYI: Indianapolis Public Radio's Small Studio Sessions, WQRT 99.1 FM Indianapolis, Headlong Media's OrigIN's, and 92.3 WTTS.
Meghan was the first of Indiana-based talent to receive a scholarship for recording time from the non-profit, Fourth Sunday Music Co. This resulted in the debut of her second original album, Breaking Points, recorded at Postal Recording in Indianapolis and performed to a sold-out crowd in 2019.
Meghan now leads a trio, The 1900, featuring Brent Schlemmer on bass and Morgan Evans on drums for a more guitar-driven sound they call “garage country.” Their latest album was released on March 4th, 2022.
Meghan has opened for various international touring musicians and songwriters and has been a guest speaker for the Indiana Nonprofit Organization Women4Change.
Meghan also has experience in knitting. She began her knitting journey back in 2012. With a busy music career, Meghan’s love of knitting has continuously remained close to her heart alongside her love of songwriting.
