Mandie Andeson, Winner of the 2025 Christel DeHaan Fellowship for Accessible Arts

As an artist, teacher, and mother to a child with disabilities, I witness firsthand how the arts give voice, ignite imagination, and create opportunities for all. Art is a catalyst for communication and self-expression, fostering skills in a supportive, inclusive environment. As a recipient of the DeHaan Fellowship for Accessible Arts, I am developing a gallery show that celebrates ArtMix artists and highlights the organization’s core values—respect, creativity, inclusivity, and collaboration. My goal is to exhibit this show in galleries throughout Indianapolis, showcasing the work of ArtMix artisans and promoting the organization’s impact.
