Kei’Anna Anderson
Kei’Anna Anderson earned her BFA at Ball State University with a concentration in Sculpture and a minor in Art History. Her work examines the biological and structural similarities between the plant and human species. She uses Garment Construction to explore the physicality and the merging of humans and plants.
Exhibited internationally, Kei’Anna’s work is featured in the Surface Design Journal (vol.43 n.3) Soft Borders, SDA International Exhibition In Print. The foundation of her work continues to be Textiles and Fibers, while she has begun to incorporate Printmaking into her Garment designs. Adding her own Prints to Fabric pushes the Garment Construction to the next level, as this allows Kei’Anna to take ownership of the Textiles that she uses within her designs.
Kei’Anna is a high school visual arts teacher and is excited to have joined the Teaching Artist team at ArtMix as she seeks opportunities to service youth and young adults.
