Bio: Meg is a photographer and clay artist who has been teaching students of all ages for over 10 years. She began working with ArtMix in 2003 teaching photography, video, and ceramics. She has also worked with Arts for Learning, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and the Indianapolis Art Center. She received her BFA from Herron School of Art in 1997. Meg attended the VSA National Institute in New York in 2004, and she was a presenter at the Institute for Artful Teaching in 2006. In 2008 she attended the Arts for Learning early childhood summit in Princeton, NJ.
Philosophy: My mission as a Teaching Artist is to encourage confidence, self discovery, and creative problem-solving through arts experiences. I believe the arts are an important vehicle for self expression while creating opportunities for communication.
