Bio: Beverly has a B.A. degree in Anthropology and a certificate in Acting. She has worked as an actor and extensively in many other areas of the theater. Her role as an ArtMix Teaching Artist goes back to 2004. She is an Artist with Arts for Learning Indiana and has also worked with the Indiana School for the Blind.
Philosophy: I believe theater is a community-building tool. Anyone can learn to act. Acting is learning to be empathetic and channel emotions. I teach because I want people to send their “voice;” their expression of what it means to be human. I believe that “talent” in drama or theater is how much experience one has had learning how to experience other people’s feelings.
