Philosophy: My mission as a Teaching Artist is to provide all people with an opportunity to be creative and have fun while learning something new. I like to encourage individual self-expression through art-making processes. I work primarily in clay, which has a natural therapeutic quality – making the process of creativity as important and enjoyable as the finished product. I feel that this process encourages discovery, problem-solving, respect, confidence, and community building through the arts.
