Bio:  Sharon has been a professional storyteller for nearly a quarter of a century.  She is also a writer currently working on two middle-grade novels.  Her other career stints include ten years as a classroom English teacher, nine years as a newspaper journalist, and five years as a librarian.

Philosophy:  I believe that the arts help a person to use his whole brain; therefore, participation in the arts – visual, performing, and literary – not only helps him achieve in other academic areas, but also helps him to develop confidence in his own abilities. Further, as one who faces her own physical challenges, I believe that it is essential that the arts be accessible to all, both as passive and active participants.
